Converted Cabernet Sauvignon Vine

Photo Of The Day: Quiet In The Vineyards

January and February are quite times in the vineyards here at Kendall-Jackson. The vines get a break after Harvest, with pruning being the next major event in their yearly cycle.

This particular specimen is a Cabernet Sauvignon vine that’s been converted from a spur prune to a cane, or double guyot, set up. It’ll rest peacefully until the Spring when we start to gear up for the 2013 vintage.
