With all the talk about pruning I thought it’d make sense to get into the vineyard and trim some vines. We’ve already talked about why we prune and gone in depth about vine trellising and balance, so it makes sense to grab a pair of clippers and head out.
I recently took advantage of one of the nice days we’ve gotten in Northern California and hit one of our Knights Valley Vineyards with Mariano Navarro, our vineyard manager. We trimmed some vines and talked about the differences between the double guyot and cordon trained pruning methods.
