This weekend we’re hosting some guests for a weekend of wine education. You might recognize some of them as your favorite food bloggers from around the Web. They are also the first attendees of Sip, Bite & Blog.
Sip, Bite & Blog is a weekend of wine education. We thought it would be fun to work with some of the food bloggers we enjoy reading; after all, wine and food go together like peanut butter and jelly. So we invited some of our new friends out to Sonoma to talk about where we live, our local food and where our wine comes from. The goal is for all of us to work on ways to better pair food and wine together.
We’re really looking forward to some hands on education. The group will be out in the vineyards, kicking dirt, picking grapes and enjoying the land. But it wouldn’t be Sonoma if Sip, Bite & Blog didn’t dive into all the great local cuisine.
We’ll also be joined this weekend by none other than Ruth Reichl. She’ll be talking about food and wine and the influence that the farm and table movement have had on the cuisine we eat.
We’ll be working with some of our local partners to talk about cheese, mushrooms, oysters, produce, duck and gluten free grains and oils. We’ll be writing about (and posting pictures from) the event over the weekend and into next week.
