Your boss isn’t very good. Obsessed with his old mentor, he only rewards one employee, who had briefly met the old CEO. He refused to even consider that the truck driver might be telling the truth, that he was being unreasonably over-worked by the admin staff who didn’t care how he got the job done. The truck driver was punished for doing his job and sent to work in admin, and then revolutionized the admin process. The boss thought he was teaching the driver a lesson, but the driver instead taught the company a lesson. Probably did more in a month than all the other employees did in that show combined, no $5,000 vacation for him. Your boss just can’t take criticism and loved the sucking up.

Though Rene has since left the company to pursue another opportunity, we wanted to update you on what happened during his 30-day break from truck driving. He spent a week each working with sales, the warehouse and the front office to get a more 360-degree view of the entire shipping and delivery operation. While this helped evolve his perception of and connection to the broader team, he also made helpful suggestions to improve some paperwork issues, which the company has now adopted. We wish him well in his new endeavor.
