This past weekend was beautiful in Wine Country this weekend. We had the privilege of hosting our 1st Annual Sip, Bite & Blog Conference – a conference for food bloggers. It was fantastic to meet everyone in person, talk about food, and cook for everyone.
The fun continues at Kendall-Jackson this weekend. Saturday, October 1st, is our last farm stand of the year at the Kendall-Jackson Wine Center. We are happy that some of our gourmet food truck friends will be coming again – Chicago Style Hot Dogs, Dim Sum Charlie’s and Karma. I can’t wait to have a hot dog paired with a nice, cool glass of Chardonnay!
The food truck trend is spreading throughout the country and it is a really exciting and convenient way to eat. Last fall, Winemaster Randy Ullom and I headed to LA to host a fundraiser for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The event featured food from some of LA’s coolest gourmet food trucks paired with Kendall-Jackson wines. LA is the birthplace of the gourmet food truck scene, so I was pretty excited, especially because I got to ride around with them. Here is one of the videos showing some highlights of our trip.
