Cruisin’ The Rhône River

This April our Winemaster, Randy Ullom, and I will be hosting our first ever Wine Club Cruise in the South of France.  I’m really excited because I’ve never been to France and as a chef I’m really looking forward to tasting true French cuisine.

The trip starts with three days in Bordeaux in St. Emilion, where we will visit Château Lassègue.   After getting our fill of this legendary landscape, we travel to Lyon where we will hop on the river boat, the MS Amadagio, and cruise down the Rhône River, stopping at villages along the way and picking up fresh produce to prepare for dinner each evening.

On the trip we will be pairing our meals with Kendall-Jackson wine, along with the wines of each region.  While we’re cruising down the Rhône to Arles we will be stopping to tour some amazing vineyards, checking out some cool architecture, visiting an olive farm and tasting chocolates in Tournon.

Hey, it’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

There are still a few seats left for the trip from April 15th – 26th,  so if you are interested in eating and drinking wine with Randy and me in France, just give Sharion a call at 800-913-9824.  It should be lots of fun!
